MELBOURNE, February 16. - The Minister tor the Navy (Mr. Makin) announced today that ten ratings, including four South Australians, serving in one of H.M. Australian destroyers, were lost overboard during heavy weather on the night of February 11, and are missing, presumed drowned. The. destroyer was on passage when she encountered particularly bad weather.
The South Australians missing are:- Ordinary Seaman Leslie Alexander Holloway; Able Seaman Allen Wilfred Milich;, Ordinary Seaman Keith James Mills; and Second Stoker John Poulton.
