KILLED IN BRITAIN
Sergeant Pilot H. A. Metcalfe, R.A.A.F., only son of Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Metcalfe, of Wallsend, was killed on Sunday in an aircraft accident at Wellington, Shropshire (England). Relatives were officially advised yesterday. Sergeant Pilot Metcalfe married Miss Margaret Hunt, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
W. Hunt, of Shortland, while on final leave. He sailed from Australia nine months ago for further training in Canada under the Empire training scheme. His
parents received his first letter, written in September, from England last week. Before he enlisted Sergeant Pilot Metcalfe was a traveling salesman in New-
castle. He was educated at Wallsend and Newcastle Boys' High School.
