The Last Sad Rites
Funeral in Wales of Horsham Airman
A few days ago Mr. and Mrs. David Anderson of Horsham received official advice from the Air Board detailing, particulars of the fatal crash in which their son, Pilot Officer Cam Anderson; made the supreme sacrifice. The mishap occurred on February 10 at 1.30 p.m near road adjacent to Aberystwyth, Wales. The pilot was on duty and was returning to the base.
A cable was also & received from friends of the young airman at Saskatoon, Canada, expressing deep 4 regret at the loss of the popular officer.
Full civic and military honors were given to the deceased at a Wales cemetery and the funeral was attended by eight Australians and also by the two aunts of the pilot, the Misses Robertson, who travelled from Scotland to pay their last respects to a beloved nephew.
