Flying-Officer Trelss James Stewart Adam, R.A.P., eldest son of Captain and Mrs. A. T. Adam, of Grace-street, Watsonia, lost his life during the night of January 14, when a Mosquito bomber, of which he was a member of the crew, crashed near Wyton, England, when taking off- for an operational flight over Berlin. Flying-Officer Adam, who was 28, had served four years in the R.A.F., before enlisting in which he had been serving in mine sweepers in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. In peace time he was in the merchant navy. He was born in Melbourne and was educated at the Eltham High School. His younger brother, Flight-Lieut. Basil. John Adam, R.A.A.F,, was reported missing in flying operations over Europe on the night of January 14, 1942
